New Stadium and Athletic Complex

Project Overview

Since Granite Hills High School first opened its doors in 1997, its football program has faced the challenge of playing “home” games at rival Apple Valley High School. Without its own stadium, the school has been missing a vital gathering place to showcase Cougar spirit and create lasting traditions.

The new Stadium and Athletic Complex will finally change that reality, giving Granite Hills a true home field advantage and a space where students, families, and the community can come together to celebrate athletics and school pride.

Part of a Larger Vision

The Stadium represents the first phase of a transformative 40-acre master plan adjacent to the existing campus. This long-range vision is about more than sports - it’s about creating a hub where academics, athletics, and community life intersect.

Future phases will expand opportunities for student development and community engagement, positioning Granite Hills High School as both an educational institution and a central gathering place for the surrounding region. The Stadium serves as a bold first step, setting the tone for what’s to come.

Four people are inside, some sitting and some standing, with one person opening a locker and others walking or standing around. The flooring is concrete with a stylized logo, and the ceiling has exposed beams and modern lighting.

State-of-the-Art Facilities

The new facility will feature an artificial turf football and soccer field, an all-weather track, and 5,000-seat bleachers designed to accommodate large crowds and energize game-day experiences. Supporting infrastructure includes modern concession and restroom buildings, spacious team locker rooms, and dedicated offices for coaches, trainers, and officials.

The addition of a state-of-the-art weight room expands training capacity, offering student-athletes advanced resources for strength and conditioning. Every design choice has been made with performance, durability, and long-term program growth in mind.

Bringing the Dream to Life

SGH Architects is honored to help bring this much-anticipated project to reality. For Granite Hills High School, the Stadium and Athletic Complex represents more than new facilities - it is the culmination of years of perseverance and the start of a new chapter. It will serve as a source of pride, inspiration, and opportunity for students and athletes, while also fostering stronger community connections.

With this project, Granite Hills finally has a place to call its own - a stage for competition, celebration, and Cougar spirit that will endure for generations.
