Our Leadership
We’re architects who started their own studio because we knew we could serve our clients better. We’re involved in every project, and empower our team to solve problems in creative ways.
Michael Stephens, AIA, NCARB
Managing Partner
-
As a muscle-car and drag racing fanatic, Michael understands the importance of applying the right processes to win the race. Knowing the ins and outs of what it takes to win, he applies many of the same complex planning, coordination and design details that make for memorable architecture. With experience working as an architect and as director of construction for a community college district, he knows the best approach to take projects to completion.
And, he’s done this for more than two decades.
His experience is deep and wide, have designed large master plans and commercial renovations. Either way, Michael continues to lead his team with the same passion and drive, from large or small projects for education, commercial, retail and government clients throught the southland.
In Michael’s role as a principal, he is known for his forthright, intelligent, creative and supportive leadership. He has an established relationship with the Division of State Architect (DSA), local city officials and many school district personnel. He was president of AIA Inland Empire and continues to be an active member.
"Being an architect is so rewarding. I enjoy being part of a team that sweats the details, achieves great design, develops concise documents, and provides superior service."
Scott Griffith, AIA

Growing up in Southern California, Scott was busy skateboarding in empty swimming pools and brushing shoulders with skate legends. Today, his close attention to detail and client service have contributed to Scott’s successful projects. A strong work ethic is apparent in all he does, whether it’s managing a project, interacting with clients, or dropping in on some smooth concrete.
Scott brings over 30 years of experience to SGH Architects, working on both education and healthcare projects. His experience with new construction, renovation and expansion includes projects with a combined construction value of more than $2.5B for various K-12 school districts as well as many Healthcare systems throughout the state. He also maintains excellent working relationships with the Division of the State Architect, Office of Statewide Health and Planning Development (OSHPD), and local agencies.
Scott is an active member of the American Institute of Architects Inland California Chapter (AIAIC), having served two terms as chapter president, and is currently on the executive committee. He is also keenly involved in other organizations, including the Architects, Contractors, and Engineers Mentoring program.

Eric Anderson
AIA
Principal
-
Beginning his professional career in 1998, Eric has enjoyed a broad exposure to diverse project types, including research laboratories, biomedical device manufacturing suites, MOBs, critical-care hospitals renovations, entertainment venues and exquisitely detailed custom homes.
Eric has a great appreciation for the value of clear and thorough communication with clients, builders, colleagues, user-groups, and members of the community that gives him the knowledge and goals to complete satisfying and successful projects.
Eric believes design is all about communication. “No one can build beautiful buildings from poorly expressed ideas. At SGH Architects there are knowledgeable and thoughtful leaders. There is an opportunity to dive deep into designs through production and construction on a wide variety of project types with great clients.”
Eric is a member of the American Institute of Architects Inland California chapter, an amateur photographer, electric guitarist, calligrapher, and may also be found spending several very nerdy weekends teaching archery and fencing lessons at the Southern and Northern California Renaissance Faires.
Dario DiMauro
Project Designer | Senior Associate
-
Architecture has been in Dario’s DNA from an early age. His father would take him to their family-owned architecture studio in Argentina, where he discovered his passion for architectural design.
Dario studied at the National University of Architecture, Planning, and Design in Rosario, Argentina. He began working professionally alongside his father in 1991, where he realized he had an uncanny ability to visualize three-dimensional spaces.
He started his architecture career in the United States in 2003. Before joining SGH Architects, Dario was a Project Leader and Senior Project Designer for several large Southern California firms. Dario enjoys training, guiding and mentoring new designers. “SGH Architects is a firm where you can develop your full potential. It’s a company with integrity and open communication that is committed to its team members and its clients.”
Dario lives in Rancho Cucamonga with his wife, daughter, and Golden Retriever. When not designing, mentoring, and keeping the coffee brewing for himself and teammates, Dario loves skiing in the local mountains with his family.
