Corporate Yard Facility

Project Overview

The Lake Arrowhead Community Services District (LACSD) engaged SGH Architects to design a new Corporate Yard Facility that serves as a centralized hub for essential operations. Strategically located in the center of the District’s service area, the facility consolidates personnel, equipment, and materials that were once dispersed across multiple sites. This unification not only improves efficiency but also reduces response times and strengthens the District’s ability to deliver reliable, high-quality services to the community.

Practical and Purposeful Design

The design approach emphasizes both practicality and context, using a straightforward structural system and cost-effective building envelope to maximize functionality and long-term value. Key site features, including bulk material storage, fuel storage, and extensive equipment parking, further enhance the efficiency of daily operations.

Beyond routine use, the facility is equipped to serve as a central command post during emergency events, providing resilience and preparedness for the District and the community it serves.

Specialized and Flexible Spaces

Inside, the Corporate Yard Facility accommodates a wide range of technical and administrative functions. The program includes a mechanics shop, maintenance shop, administrative offices, SCADA monitoring, and a multipurpose training room adaptable for meetings and staff development.

This variety of spaces ensures that the District’s teams have the tools, technology, and environments they need to operate effectively in both day-to-day and extraordinary circumstances.

With its modern, durable, and highly functional spaces, the new Corporate Yard Facility not only meets the District’s operational needs today but also positions LACSD to serve the Lake Arrowhead community with resilience, efficiency, and reliability well into the future.
