Disability Support Program & Services (DSPS) Building

Imperial Valley College

Imperial, California

Imperial Valley College’s New Disability Support Program & Services (DSPS) Building provides students with special needs and disabilities with their own accessible building to help support and meet their academic goals.  Supporting students with autism, intellectual and learning disabilities, physical disabilities, visual and hearing impairment, chronic medical conditions, and mental health conditions such as anxiety and/or depression, this new facility creates a learning resource center full of assistive technology and supportive staff.

DSPS counselors, academic advisors, and media specialists utilize the 9 offices, conference room, computer lab, study room, and test proctor room to accommodate the unique learning needs of eligible students.

The DSPS Program was founded in 1988 and was previously housed within the Health and Science Building on the Imperial Valley College Campus.  This new 4,000 sf facility provides the foundation for success for many students as they pursue their academic development.
